“Old School” Joint of the Day: Horace Brown “Things We Do For Love”

Horace Brown

This is one of those songs that almost ALWAYS plays at a night club. And if you often go out, you know exactly what I am talking about. The DJ will start to play this during his Mini Old School set, and he usually prolongs the intro and scratches it up, just to ensure everyone on the dance floor makes their drunk “THAT’S MY JAM!” face and runs to the dance floor.

Then we all dance to it and realize the song is not as hot as we remembered it being. And that’s partly to do with what the DJ did to the song as I described above. He played the shit out of the intro so damn much that by the second verse we are waiting for him to play something hotter, like “DWYCK” or anything by B.I.G.

Anyhow, here is Horace Brown with “Things We Do For Love”.
